Daybreak Garden Park

A new neighborhood for new active adults

As an extension of Master Planning services at Daybreak in South Jordan, Utah, UDA also provided architectural design services for a diverse range of building types at Garden Park. As a new model for senior living, Garden Park is a pedestrian-centered, walkable community in the heart of Daybreak, and required new building typologies and towns that reflect the needs of today’s active adult buyer. UDA designed highly-flexible and efficient designs that embrace the sustainable design principles of healthy living – a foundational element of life at Garden Park. The architecture included a palette of multiple styles based on great, unique cottage communities, with a common strategy of maximizing connection to outdoors living through gardens, terraces, porches, and balconies. Furthermore, sustainable design strategies were used in the planning, stormwater management, landscape design and architecture to promote healthy living. In addition to an extensive open-space system of parks and waterways with a fine-grained network of pedestrian-friendly streets, paseos, and open spaces, UDA also designed a 12,000 sf clubhouse that sits at the social and geographic heart of this unique neighborhood.
