Each year, UDA accepts a limited number of recent graduates to practice urban design and architecture in our two-year Fellowship Program. Fellows work within our design team structure, gaining experience in all phases of our practice including: analyzing urban areas; researching architectural precedents; urban design; architectural design; two- and three-dimensional drawings; communicating with clients; participating in public design processes and charrettes; and preparing detailed architectural documents. Salaries for fellows are nationally competitive. UDA has created Traveling Fellowship awards for candidates who successfully complete their two-year fellowship program. Each year, a limited number of fellows completing their two-year contracts may be offered the opportunity to continue with UDA as third-year fellows. UDA also has a ten-week summer internship program designed for undergraduate and graduate students in architecture and urban design. Our summer internship program provides an intensive, immersion experience for students interested in gaining hands-on, practical experience as a complement to their academic training.
