Garden Park Master Plan, South Jordan, Utah

Through an extension of our urban design and architectural services, UDA worked with Design Workshop and Kennecott Land Company to create a new model for senior living as a pedestrian-centered, walkable community in the heart of Daybreak. Garden Park promotes outdoor living, through connections to an extensive open space system of parks and waterways with a fine-grained network of pedestrian-friendly streets, paseos, and open spaces. At the social and geographic heart of the neighborhood is a 12,000 sf Clubhouse designed by UDA.

Based on great cottage communities, Garden Park features a great diversity in the building types including 10-unit attached buildings, rowhouses and small cottages of varied sizes on small lots. Sustainable design strategies were used in the planning, stormwater management, landscape design and architecture to promote healthy living. The first phase of construction began in 2009.
