SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD INITIATIVES The design team worked closely with residents and stakeholders to identify key revitalization/relocation areas in the neighborhoods surrounding the distressed Middle East neighborhood. Starting construction in these more stable areas reinforces the strongest parts of the community while creating marketable addresses and places that can be used for relocation of residents from the biotech area. The initiative areas are: Oliver, the Madison Square area of Gay Street I, Broadway, Broadway East, and Milton-Montford.
