Designed by Urban Design Associates in a joint venture with Michael Dennis and Associates, the new University Center is located at the crossroads of the Carnegie Mellon University campus, and brings together students, faculty and staff to serve the diverse needs of daily campus life. The 200,000-square foot University Center is designed to be the social and recreational hub of the campus, combining recreational sports, entertainment, dining, and extracurricular activities.    The building features a gymnasium, natatorium with two pools, racquetball and squash courts, a 450 seat auditorium/lecture hall, 8,000-square foot ballroom, conference facilities, faculty dining, student cafe and lounges, student activity offices, bookstore, and chapel.   VIEW LOOKING WEST
