A new active-adult community based on historic neighborhoods
While Daybreak’s neighborhoods progressed, UDA focused on developing a master plan and architecture for a new type of active-adult community that blended seamlessly with the surrounding context. UDA’s master plan promoted outdoor living through a fine-grained network of pedestrian-friendly paseos, streets, and open spaces linked to Daybreak’s robust open space network. In addition to the master plan, UDA designed a clubhouse and a suite of homes, including 10-unit condominiums, townhomes, and small cottages, evoking the spirit and feel of historic, urban neighborhoods.
