Creating a college town for a major university
Without a “college town” environment, the Storrs Town Center is designed to provide a mixed-use development adjacent to the main campus of the University of Connecticut. UDA developed a pattern book with inspiration from New England college town center precedents. Anchored by two public squares, the Storrs Town Center is lined with retail, entertainment, community services and residential addresses.
