New mixed-income neighborhood expands a historic district
Portsmouth is home to extraordinary historic architecture. UDA’s master plan and architecture for Westbury replaced an outdated public housing project with a sustainable, mixed-income neighborhood of new homes compatible with neighboring historic Portsmouth. Drawing on the inherited architectural vocabulary found in Olde Towne and Westbury’s surrounding neighborhoods, UDA designed a portfolio of architecture to foster a cohesive community spirit.
