Mixed-income transformation that is stitching together economic opportunities for families and bringing new amenities to West Louisville
UDA was engaged by McCormack Baron Salazar and the Louisville Metro Housing Authority (LMHA) as the master planner for the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant. UDA designed the Russel neighborhood plan, the Beecher housing site plan, and the architectural building character through a process that engaged the neighborhood stakeholders and residents. Louisville was awarded a $29.5 million CNI award in 2016. UDA is currently working with LMHA to design a new community park and to renovate the historic, beloved Baxter Community Center. Over the past five years, UDA has built a strong working relationship and trust with the Beecher Terrace residents, involving them at every step.
