Illustrations

Communicating ideas to a wide audience

Since our founding in 1964, we have always used illustrations as a key component of the process. We are constantly innovating our techniques to best communicate what a design effort will look and feel like, and to build consensus toward a bright future.

We use these techniques to develop, explore, and present ideas and solutions. During the process, we work with our clients to select the right type of illustration for the right moment in the design process. For example, illustrations at the early conceptual phase typically emphasize character and scale and look sketchy and exploratory. Toward the end of a design process, drawings can be very specific and highly detailed.
