A New Downtown for the Austin Tech Boom

In the context of the sprawling suburbs of Austin, Inspire Development hired UDA to design a new, mixed-use downtown environment as a new center for the North Austin region. The project is designed to be a destination for new businesses, retail, and residential living to allow for a true high-density live-work-learn-play environment. In addition to the proposal for a very active entertainment program, the project is interwoven with sustainable design ethics that include preservation of historic oak trees, green streetscape infrastructure, and sustainable construction materials, means, and methods.
