Developing new neighborhoods with a resiliency plan for a flood-prone city
To address flooding that consistently threatens urban neighborhoods of Huntsville, the City engaged Amec Foster Wheeler and UDA to develop a resiliency and recovery plan. The Plan repositioned and restored Pinhook Creek as a new center for life in Downtown, rather than a concrete drainage channel. The Master Plan developed a key expansion area for Downtown.
